Every home in Lancing and Sompting will get a recycling and refuse information newsletter through its letterbox during the next few weeks.
The leaflet, entitled Box Clever, is packed with information on recycling and includes a blue box and black sack collection calendar for 2003/4.
There is also news about the return to weekly collections of recycled waste and other services being introduced on September 1.
The pack contains advice on what can and cannot be recycled, recycling sites in Adur and how to recycle other materials, like textiles.
The collection of recyclables will change and become the same day as black sack collections from September 1.
Community services chairman Paul Graysmark said: "We have been successful in securing funding from the Department of the Environment and Rural Affairs to return to a weekly kerbside recycling collection.
"We have just bought three extra recycling vehicles to make a good service even better."
The council has set up a helpline on 01273 263133.
