Selsey remain unsure whether they will be able to start the new County League season.

Last year's John O'Hara League Cup winners held a crisis meeting on Monday evening to see whether they club could continue.

They still have no manager with just a month to go before the start of the new season, a number of players have left and off-the-field help is down to the bare bones.

Secretary Denny Lee: "It is the worst it has been in the 40 years I have been at the club.

"There is every chance we won't make the start of the season.

"I just can't say yes we will fulfil the season. Knowing Selsey people, they will say this is just scare-mongering tactics but it definitely isn't this time."

Selsey have been in the lurch as regards to a manager since Danny Hinshelwood quit earlier this week.

Hinshelwood had warned at the end of last season that the club would struggle to survive unless off-the-field help came forward.

The experienced Richie Reynolds was set to take over as boss but had to decline due to work commitments and Selsey have had little other interest in the position.

Lee added: "We are going to play the pre-season friendlies and take things from there."

Anyone who can help should contact Lee on 07833 632930.

Three Bridges have completed their 11th summer signing after taking Scott Langridge back to the club from Horsham YMCA.

Chichester midfielder Jamie Angell has joined AFC Wimbledon.
