Techno and house fans can look forward to a proper party courtesy of London crew Wiggle while soulsters will enjoy UrbanSouls grooves for funky boys and girls.

Wiggle, Concorde 2, Madeira Drive, Brighton, Saturday, 01273 772770 This is the first proper Wiggle night in Brighton but co-founders Terry Francis and Nathan Coles are no strangers to these shores.

Their fusion of techno and house has been heard regularly at Positive Soundsystem's parties and club nights but everyone is looking forward to them wiggling back under their own steam.

For those of you who have not had the pleasure of their company before, this night comes highly recommended.

They have been around since the early Nineties but have not rested on their laurels. It runs from 10.30pm until late. Admission is £8.50.

UrbanSoul, Arc, King's Road Arches, Brighton, Saturday Another Urban Records production, UrbanSoul puts the needle on the record for the opening one of its first Saturday of every month outings.

The ubiquitous Mick Fuller and Stewsta will be playing "a delicious selection of soulful club grooves for funky girls and boys" which doesn't sound too original but it should be worth a visit.

It runs from 9pm to 2am. Admission is free all night.

Brighton Rock, Hove Centre, Norton Road, Hove, Saturday, July 12 01273 292910 This is a week away but could be worth be putting in the diary.

Brighton Rock does exactly what it says on the tin and, if you like classic and heavy rock from the Seventies to the present day, this should be just what you're looking for.

It has a reputation for packing the punters in so don't leave it too late.

Doors open at 10pm. Admission is £8/6.
