Brighton's animal rights queen, Rena Collins, has done it again.

If it wasn't for her insistence on the Edward Street courthouse sending someone up to free a gull caught in netting on its roof (with a Bank Holiday looming), it would have died a slow, horrible death.

Rena is now in her 70s and not in very good health. She deserves a medal for all the passion she has poured into animal rights over the years.

Let us not wait until she has gone to sing her praises.

A million thanks to a very splendid lady. It is an honour to know you.

Also, thanks to Laura for alerting Rena to this incident and a million thanks to the two brave guys for freeing the gull.
