A new flats complex to provide homes for 25 people looks likely to be given the go-ahead.

Mid Sussex District Council has received an application for two one-bedroom flats and ten two-bedroom flats, with parking, in Railway App-roach, East Grinstead.

A report to the council says developers would give nearly £12,000 to help enhance a nearby children's play area and contribute to local sports developments.

It says that children from the flats could go to Halsford Park Primary School and Imberhorne School.

The site is a car sales business near The Broadway public house and the development would be in the shape of a horseshoe.

It would have a covered cycle area and 12 car parking spaces.

The report to planners says it would be 10.5 metres high - about two metres lower than the pub.

Council planners are recommended to approve the application when they meet on Thursday, subject to conditions.
