Ian Davies has admitted the nerves are already fluttering as his Worthing side prepare to clinch a second successive league title.

Worthing host Beckenham at Roundstone Lane needing just a point to claim the London Two South crown.

They will aim to do it in style with a successive win but know defeat could see them miss out even on a promotion play-off.

Worthing have produced some impressive results at just the right time while previous title favourites Gosport and Fareham have slipped up.

Gosport are at home tomorrow to Tunbridge Wells, the team most likely to profit from a Worthing slip-up.

Davies admitted: "A few people have already commented they are nervous which can be a good or a bad thing."

Experienced Nick French is called in on the wing to help steady the side on their big day.

Theoretically, Haywards Heath could also win their title tomorrow though the odds are they will have to settle for second spot in London One.

They need victory to ensure home advantage in the one-off promotion play-off, probably against Reading.

A win would send them up as champions if the unthinkable happens and leaders Southend fail to win at lowly Norwich.

The play-off will take place on April 26.
