Treading the boards in Sussex this week - daredevil clowns, Dirty Den, Andalusian donkeys and spoon-bending celebrity survivor Uri Geller.

The Strawberry Clown Show, Komedia, Brighton, March 30. This clown has an extraordinary ability to create a show out of nothing, abandoning props and speech in favour of daredevil tricks and eccentric dancing. Facial expression and body language are used to hilarious effect.

Love and Marriage, Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne, Monday to Saturday, April 5. Following the death of Adam Faith three weeks ago, Leslie Grantham, better known as EastEnders' Dirty Den, will be taking over his role as Bill in this comedy about modern marriage. El Sombrero De Tres Picos, Hawth Studio, Crawley, April 1. A farce set in a 19th Century Andalusian village where a couple of donkeys doze in the heat and wives are swapped with gay abandon. Performed in Spanish, the performance uses a highly physical style which marries text to action and, according to The Guardian, makes us "think we're bilingual".

Uri Geller, Pavilion Theatre, Marine Parade, Worthing, April 1. The world's most famous paranormalist returns with his show, Back From the Jungle. It features a talk on developing intuitive powers. The one-time pupil of Dali shares his knowledge of the powers of intention and prayer he recently showed while communicating with pal Michael Jackson on reality TV. 8pm.
