Early on Tuesday afternoon, there was chaos at the Brighton train station ticket office when one of the counters was obscurely re-classified to deal with "tickets for today", creating two queues which then disintegrated.

I was among many who missed their train. I asked to see the office manager but he was not to hand.

I phoned for his number but was told it was unavailable "for security reasons". Instead, I was given the South Central Customer Line but this turned out to be "not in use".

Do any readers know how we can get hold of these people to improve their ways, attentively and promptly?
