Residents will get to view £1 million plans to deal with flooding in Southwick tomorrow.
Houses around Waterdyke Avenue and The Green have long suffered from flooding when high tides, underground water levels and heavy rainfall have stopped rain going into Shoreham harbour.
Southern Water wants to upgrade the water drainage system in the area and build a new pumping station in a disused lorry park at the corner of Victoria Road and Albion Street.
The work is due to start in April and be completed by the summer.
The scheme has been backed by Southwick's MP, Tim Loughton.
Project manager Wayne Middleton said: "Southern Water is delighted to be able to bring this scheme to Southwick to help reduce flooding, which has affected residents for a number of years."
He urged residents to go to the exhibition of the proposals at St Michael's Church Hall in Church Lane, Southwick, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm tonight.
Southern Water staff will be on hand to answer questions.
