How I wish people would engage brain before sounding off about dirty trains.
The rail companies clean the trains after they arrive at Brighton station, removing several bags of litter each time. Those who complain should remember that passengers leave the remains of their snacks, drink cans and bottles and newspapers on the trains for other people to clean up. Have they not been taught to take their litter home? Looking after the environment begins right here around us.
Having helped to clear the footpath one year between Coldean and Sussex University, I will leave it to people's imagination what was included in the 15 or so black bags collected by volunteers.
All praise to the cleaners of our railways.
