Burgess Hill will take the Sussex Two title with a win at Sussex Police on Saturday.

Second placed St Francis kept them waiting by beating Norfolk Arms 27-20.

Runners-up spot, however, is a more realistic target for Saints.

They came from 17 points down at the break to score tries through Alan McArdle, Dave Hounsell and Simon Knight with the wind at their backs.

Dave Callan converted all three and kicked two penalties.

Sussex One champions Uckfield sent a side to Ditchling, where tries from Russ Monk and Nick Crane clinched a 20-13 win. Gustav Smook kicked ten points.

Stuart Howarth has been named as coach of Crawley Jets rugby league side as they prepare for their most exciting season yet.

Jets have been accepted as founder members of National League Three, which will operate as a feeder league to the old Northern Ford Premiership.

Training begins a week tomorrow at Crawley RFC (7pm) with all eyes on the first league game, at home to Huddersfield Underbank Rangers on May 3. Howarth has vast rugby league experience, having skippered GB students and played for Barrow and Workington.
