Peacehaven look in danger of dropping into division two after crashing 3-1 to basement side Littlehampton Town.
The Marigolds only collected their first league victory last Saturday but they made it two on the bounce as Chris Hazell, an own goal and Jan Miller did the damage to Peacehaven's hopes of staying up. Aaron MacMillan replied.
Littlehampton boss Carl Stabler said: "We are already gone but we are looking at things for next season.
"Over the last couple of weeks when we have played Wick and Peacehaven it is clear to see why we are all in trouble. The table does not lie.
"No disrespect to Peacehaven but if they continue to produce performances like that then they will be joining us in division two."
Wick, one place above Littlehampton, are also resigned to the drop but are looking to next season and a mean defence helped them to a 1-0 win over mid-table Hailsham.
Lee Webber's glancing finish from a whipped-in Adam Stallard cross secured the points but caretaker joint-manager Kevin Hotston said: "Over the last few games we have looked much tighter at the back and we didn't look like conceding a goal.
"Before we were going in two or three down at half-time and the lads' heads were dropping but now we are a lot tighter."
