Eastbourne Borough boss Garry Wilson praised his defence after the 13th league clean sheet of the season in a 2-0 win at Sittingbourne.
Another three points took Borough up to fourth in the Eastern Division with games in hand.
Wilson said: "We keep getting clean sheets and I am proud of my defence.
"We have conceded only 20 goals in 27 games and there is a good spirit among the players."
Borough needed two classic finishes to beat a side who recently beat high-flying Salisbury. They took the lead after 12 minutes when Stuart Tuck's ball into the box was only partially cleared and skipper Daren Pearce volleyed home.
In the 25th minute, Andy Ducille added the second when he turned in a Scott Ramsay cross from the right.
Ducille almost had a second before the interval when his long-range effort bounced off the bar.
Borough failed to maintain their first-half momentum and Bradley Spice missed an open goal for the hosts.
