Two thousand temporary staff hired by Asda to cope with Christmas trading have been offered permanent jobs, the retailer announced yesterday.
Asda hired 10,000 temps on three-month contracts over the festive holiday period.
A strong start to the new year meant many were asked to stay on into January and have been made full-time.
