Now I am home, safe and sound after my recent replacement hip operation at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, I would like pay tribute to the many people who were involved in my speedy recovery.
I would like to thank Mr Bintcliffe and his theatre staff for their skill and care during the operation and all the nursing staff and therapists of ward 8 West for their kindness and caring.
Nothing was too much trouble and I can only hope - with, I'm sure, many others - the Government will eventually realise the true value of our nursing staff.
