I must offer my thanks to the Brighton and Hove refuse collectors for their hard work in catching up with the collections after the Christmas and New Year Bank Holidays.
They were outside my home at 7am on January 4.
It was dark, cold and snowing. Not many people would be prepared to work under such conditions so early on a Saturday.
