Olympic medallist Pippa Funnell has offered £1,000 reward after her two prized dogs went missing.

The horse riding champion last saw Jack Russells Toes and Fudgie nine-days-ago when she let them out for their usual run at 7am.

When the terriers did not return she launched a search to find them, printing posters and distributing flyers and even enlisting the help of members of The Surrey Union Hunt.

After a week of looking Mrs Funnell, who won a silver medal at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, has offered £1,000 to anyone who can help find her pets.

She said she had been frantically searching for Toes, five, and Fudgie, 11 months old, since they disappeared from her farm near Horsham.

Mrs Funnell, 34, said: "I'm just distraught without my dogs. I've done everything I can think of to find them - I've been walking and shouting for them day and night, and I've printed off about 300 flyers, as well as putting up posters.

"Members of the hunt have also taken their dogs out to look for Toes and Fudgie in case they have fallen into a hole and got stuck. But they seem to have vanished."

Both dogs are female and tan coloured with white chests and docked tails.

Mrs Funnell is offering the reward money to anyone who can help find the terriers, who she described as extremely friendly.

Anyone with information about the dogs should call 07785 2231145 or 07887 750280.
