Anyone with children reading June Hornsbury's painful experience (The Argus, November 29) cannot but be moved to think what she is going through.
Where is the extra money for hospitals Gordon Brown promised? Obviously not at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
The excuse given - she had not been given a date, therefore it was not a cancellation - is pathetic. Does the populace of Brighton and Hove have to be dying and arriving on deathbeds before being given an operation? This is not care but extermination.
The Government should stop hurling our hard-earned cash at illegal immigrants and use it to benefit of own people.
Then perhaps June would get her operation. Otherwise, I vote we change the Government at the next election.
