I was very pleased Dr Gerard Santos has won his battle to stay in the UK after nearly two years of torment (The Argus, December 2).
Clearly Dr Santos has done very valuable work in the local community for the past ten years and is very much respected.
The authorities are targeting the wrong people and need to get their priorities right.
Target people entering the country illegally, making no contribution to the community.
