Budget Day was the liveliest I have seen John Prescott and Gordon Brown for a long time.

Usually they can hardly keep their eyes open during PM's Question Time - not a pretty sight.

Is it through hard work or over-indulgence, one wonders?

Or the desperate and frantic way Tony Blair talks while wriggling out of tight corners? Would a three-day week help to keep them awake?

Also, when MPs stand up and ask questions, do they know what they are talking about?
