Roger Moore scored a hat-trick to earn Chichester a trip to local rivals Pagham in the third round of the Sussex Senior Cup.

Jamie Laidlaw and Neil Murfin were also on target as Chi beat Hailsham Town 5-1 in Saturday's second round tie.

Chi boss Adie Girdler said: "Roger has been through a barren spell of late but like all forwards you have to play through it and he has come through it now."

Horsham YMCA beat Eastbourne United 5-1 to clinch a trip to Worthing in the next round.

Scott McDonald, having already missed an open goal, put Eastbourne ahead but YM responded almost immediately with Gil Taylor levelling after good work from Mick Hennessy.

Hennessy then put his side and Paul Young added a third before half-time following an excellent move which started with goalkeeper Jason Dumbrill and involved Taylor, Matt Duffield and Hennessy.

In the second half Taylor scored his second following an excellent cross by Nick Flint and Duffield wrapped up victory 16 minutes from time.

Gary Norgate hit a brace as Arundel came from behind to win 2-1 away to second division Worthing United.

Colin Moss put the hosts ahead on 30 minutes but Norgate levelled before half-time and then hit his 13th of the campaign 11 minutes from time to clinch victory.

Mullets boss Mike Rowland said: "These are always difficult games against second division clubs and I am just pleased to go through.

"We are not giving Gary a lot of service at the moment but when he gets opportunities he takes them."

Arundel's opponents in the next round are not yet known after the match between Oving and Rye was called off.
