Fabrizio Ravanelli has held clear-the-air talks with Derby manager John Gregory and could be on course for a Withdean appearance.

Ravanelli was keen to sort out what the Italian called "a minor disagreement".

The striker was angered by comments attributed to Gregory about the state of fitness at the club.

Although Gregory did not name Ravanelli, the 'White Feather' felt it was he who the words were aimed at.

Ravanelli has not played in Derby's first team since August 17 because of an Achilles injury and the club have suffered a dip in form in his absence.

He said: "I will return to play in two weeks' time if the recovery process goes well.

"I did have a minor disagreement with John Gregory but we had a meeting yesterday and it was all resolved. Now everything is fine."

Albion are at home to Derby on Saturday, November 16.

The former Jventus player's agent, Giovanni Palladini, added: "Ravanelli has no intention of leaving Derby County.

"He has recovered from the Achilles injury and will be ready to play if John Gregory decides to pick him."
