Sussex all-rounder Robin Martin-Jenkins has signed a new three-year deal that keeps him at the county until the end of the 2005 season.
Martin-Jenkins was one of three Sussex batsmen to pass the 1,000 runs mark during last season.
He said: "There's no doubt that Sussex is the place I want to be and this new contract is confirmation of the faith the club has in me.
"I am very much looking forward to next season when my target will be to achieve the new double, taking 50 wickets as well as scoring another 1,000 runs."
Martin-Jenkins' haul of runs last summer included a career best 205 not out against Somerset, when he and Mark Davis posted one of the best partnerships in club history with 291 for the eighth wicket.
The county stayed in the top flight of the Championship with just three wins and will be keen to build on that effort next year.
Sussex will be holding are holding a cricket book and memorabilia fair on Sunday, November 17, in the Gilligan Stand at the County Ground in hove. The event runs from 10.30am until 3pm with admission costing 50p.
