Despite what Councillor Mike Middleton writes (Letters, October 14), Brighton and Hove City Council members on the platform at a public meeting at Hove Town Hall said they would prefer to redevelop the King Alfred centre without housing.
Hundreds in the hall heard them. Coun Middleton must have been at another meeting. As for the "fantasy" about a mystery backer, it was first reported in The Argus (October 2).
Is Coun Middleton saying The Argus prints fantasies?
