I read Louise Ramsay's review of Coldplay (The Argus, October 16) and would be interested to know where she was sitting.

I managed to get late tickets for the Brighton Centre's East Balcony and the engineer had obviously not done the best of jobs because the sound was very distorted with feedback that was painful to hear.

It may have been okay from the South Balcony but I thought it was so poor I left before the end - and I do not do that very often.

Louise could have commented on technical quality - the very essence of Coldplay is Chris Martin's voice and if the balance is not right, it doesn't sound too good.

It sounds reasonably okay if you know the song (like anything from Parachutes) but it doesn't make you want to rush out and buy the new CD.

The sound quality at concerts can be excellent in this day and age. There really is no reason for getting it so badly wrong.
