The oldest surviving lifeboat in Britain is going on display in Sussex.
The Queen Victoria, built in 1887 and originally stationed on the Isle of Wight, will be at Newhaven harbour next May as part of the town lifeboat's bi-centennial celebrations.
Other ex-RNLI lifeboats will be on display in the harbour and the Le Havre lifeboat from France will be open to the public.
The Newhaven RNLI is appealing for sponsorship towards the costs of the event. Call Pat Johns on 01273 514996 or Mike Tubb on 01273 517468.
