The West Pier in Brighton will be bathed in blue light to mark the start of a major comedy festival next week.
Dozens of searchlights, architectural lights and floodlights will illuminate the landmark for the opening of the Paramount Brighton Comedy Festival.
With a smoke machine and 3,000-watt bulbs, the listed pier is set to appear as never seen before.
Switching the lights on will be comic Al Murray, best known for his pub landlord character.
The ceremony is at 6.15pm on Tuesday and the festival runs until October 19.
