Rock magazine Kerrang! will take over Camber Sands Holiday Centre this weekend as it hosts the first ever Kerrang! Weekender.

Over three days, more than 30 bands will play, including The Cooper Temple Clause, winners of the Best New British Band at the recent Kerrang! Awards, nu metal Welsh band Lostprophets and Britrock favourites and monumental live act, The Wildhearts.

Tomorrow, watch out for My Vitriol, Raging Speedhorn and Glassjaw. The event ends on a growling high with live sets from Martin Grech, Wilt and The Darkness.

After the bands have finished, The Kerrang! Club will keep festivalgoers rocking into the wee small hours of Saturday and Sunday morning.

As well as music, there will be a range of suitably loud activities, such as quad biking, go-karting, wall-climbing and air-pistol shooting.

Those feeling more delicate can head to the video gaming zone or the cinema room which will show cult classics and rock-related films.

There's also a whole host of performers, alternative cabaret, stunning visuals, competitions, give-aways, Kerrang! TV in every chalet and the first-ever rock bingo.

The event is residential with chalets that can accommodate between four and eight people depending on the type and size.

Tickets for the event are £66.66 plus booking fee per person but tickets will only be sold in groups of four, five, six, seven and eight.

As an example, a chalet for four people sharing costs £266.64 plus booking fee and the whole cost will be payable upon ordering the tickets.

Please note, this event is for people aged 18 and over and the organisers will be asking for identification to be produced on admission.

As the site is in the middle of the countryside and parking is very limited, try to avoid driving to event. If you really must bring your car, please fill it up with people.

There is also a train service into Rye and a regular bus service that will drop you right outside the site.
