What is the point in extending the street drinking ban across Brighton and Hove?
Go to the shelter on the corner of Lower Rock Gardens and Marine Parade any day from 8am and you will see about 20 regular drinkers gathered there abusing passers-by.
The police know of the problem but are powerless to stop it as they do not have the manpower.
