The headline "Fingered" (The Argus, September 26) illustrates the sad state of affairs of our judicial system being so weak.

Years ago, it was a more serious crime to be a receiver than a stealer but no mention is made of it today.

Someone who finances shoplifters should be punished accordingly.

At 18 years of age, though we had jobs, we had to do National Service even though we were law-abiding citizens and had the brains to get a job.

I suppose "Fingers" will have to reach 50 before he is capable of getting a life.
