Worthing coach Ian Davies saw his side make it five out of five, then admitted: "We won't win the league playing like that."

Sevenoaks were beaten 22-8 at Roundstone Lane as Davies's men made it two wins out of two in London Two South.

They have also progressed through three rounds of the Powergen Cup but Saturday's faltering display was not what they required ahead of next weekend's tough home tie with National League outfit North Walsham.

Sussex skipper Jodie Levett will definitely miss that tie. He was knocked out by a punch on Saturday and will be out for three weeks.

Referee David Robertshaw had no hesitation in sending-off the offender but Worthing were unable to pile up points against 14 men.

Coach Davies said: "I thought the referee was excellent but both sides showed a poor attitude.

"Maybe we were looking towards next week but that was not a performance to be proud of.

"Out all the negatives at least we got the win. There were some strange results in our division."

Ben Coulson kicked a penalty and converted a try as Worthing led 10-3 at half-time.

Dave Davies added a try in support of a break by Adam Holloway and Alistair Wood.

Holloway rounded it off with a try which Coulson goaled.
