Graham Barrett believes Albion will have the deadliest forward line in Division One when the front men are all fully fit.

The loan ranger is convinced Martin Hinshelwood's rock-bottom side will pull clear of relegation trouble once he has joined forces with Bobby Zamora and Paul Kitson.

Barrett partnered Zamora for the first time in Saturday's 2-1 home defeat by fellow strugglers Grimsby.

The home debut of Arsenal's Republic of Ireland under 21 prospect was delayed by a combination of international duty, unavailability and a three-match ban.

Zamora marked his comeback from a nine-game absence with knee ligament damage by equalising in the second half, but Kitson was still missing with recurring back trouble.

Albion's ninth straight League defeat dropped them to the foot of the table, but Barrett pledged: "It's not over by a long way yet. There is a long way to go.

"Bobby and myself were back on Saturday and Kits will be back soon. If there is a better forward line in the division when we are all firing at full pelt then show me it?"

Barrett, 21 on Sunday, is longing for an early birthday present at Watford on Saturday following the Seagulls' latest setback.

"We were obviously looking for a win against Grimsby," he said.

"Personally I thought it went well but it's not about that at the moment, it's about the team.

"I am gutted for the manager, the chairman, the coaches and the fans. They love the club and are desperate for us to do well. You can tell that just by walking into the place."

Hinshelwood said: "I'm pleased with Graham. He is very enthusiastic. At times he needs to stand still a bit more, but he was very disappointed he didn't score a goal for me which is the type of person he is.

"It's going to take Bobby a while. He has been out for six weeks and he came off near the end because he had cramp in both calves, but the knee is fine."

Hinshelwood, under fire from sections of supporters and with his job under threat, is hoping for the opportunity to put Barrett, Zamora and Kitson on the pitch together.

Kitson sees a specialist tomorrow and could resume training on Thursday, but Hinshelwood does not expect him to be ready for the Watford trip.
