Councillors Bodfish and Duncan are still campaigning for the development of the King Alfred centre.

I am certain neither lives within a stone's throw of the building, thus not having to endure a reduction in the values of their own houses, as will the present residents if the proposals go ahead.

The same applies to those councillors and MPs in respect of the Falmer stadium and the West Pier. They will not have to endure the inconvenience of construction and the subsequent traffic and parking chaos.

That suffering is for the "serfs" only, not for the elevated few sitting in the comfort of their own homes or the palatial town halls.

Come on, Bodfish and Duncan, get real by offering to host the developments in your own back gardens.

Of course, we desperately need a new stadium for the Albion but Waterhall would inconvenience nobody and, with existing road and rail links already convenient, that would win a few votes.
