Junior's unique performance style is popularly known as "singjay" (singing DJ).
This approach, along with Junior's arsenal of boom tunes, melodic messages and catchy backing tracks, has scored him a place at the top of the singjay list.
Junior comes from a family with deep musical roots in Jamaican dancehall reggae.
His brother Jim Kelly was a dancehall DJ who was killed when Junior was 13 years old.
