Police are trying to identify the body of a woman found washed up on Brighton beach.
Two passers-by discovered the body 300 metres east of the Palace Pier, opposite the Volks Railway station, at 11.15pm on Thursday.
Police believe the woman had only been in the water for a couple of hours.
She was in her 20s, olive skinned, 5ft 6in, slim with black, shoulder-length hair.
She was wearing silver Fila trainers, black trousers, a short, grey vest and a black cardigan.
