Congratulations to The Argus for two excellent articles on Whitehawk in as many days. I greatly enjoyed reading Adam Trimingham's fascinating historical approach to the area, which took a long-term perspective and ended with the current New Deal for Communities Initiative, which is regenerating the area so successfully.
I was then delighted to see Karen Hoy's excellent coverage (June 25) of the relaunch of NDC into EB4U, which attracted an enormous number of visitors from all over our city to share in the excellent achievements of the area and the commitment of everybody to continue the successful regeneration this initiative has brought.
It was especially delightful to see the area of the city I am proud and privileged to represent reflected in such a positive way by The Argus when we have often been the object of very negative publicity in the past. I hope this will continue and there will be lots more good stories for The Argus to report from this area.
