Arrogant Tory county councillor John Livermore appears to be ignorant of the honoured mayoral role within a town (The Argus, May 4).
Anyway, why should being a "puppet" be such a problem for him? In March 1999, Neil Matthewson (then chairman of the now defunct Education Committee) pulled the political strings of his fellow ideological fanatics within the committee, as "chief puppeteer".
John Livermore, "puppet extraordinaire", followed orders and axed hot school meals to 64,000 children in 242 primary schools, making 550 dinner ladies redundant.
Coun Livermore was not even worthy of the honoured title of Worthing mayor.
