Let us hope the execution was carried out by humane euthanasia.
However, not so long ago, I read of a young nurse being sacked from her job in a veterinary surgery for crying every time a dog was put into the electrocution box, especially as it might survive the first shock and have to have a second.
Is this practice still going on or has it been blessedly banned?
