An exhibition of oil paintings reflecting a strange and silent world of empty beaches and isolated figures.

Beginning with several photographic views of her subject, May follows a process of selection and rejection in order to produce her own painted representation of the scene.

Her paintings are unconventional in their composition, drawing attention to objects and figures normally relegated to the background.

This causes the viewer to question their placement in the scene and, indeed, their very existence.

The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 5pm and Saturday, 10am to 4pm. For more details, call 01273 681852.
