Congratulations to Brighton and Hove Albion for their promotion to the First Division.

The club are once again in the media limelight promoting the city and now it's time Brighton and Hove City Council did its bit to help.

Withdean is no longer big enough and planning consent must be given for Falmer.

Next season, every game will be sold out as is the case for every game played at Withdean (full capacity is often not met due to the away allocation not selling out), but next season many more away fans would love to come to the city and spend money in the shops, restaurants, B&Bs and hotels.

A community stadium at Falmer is a must for a city that wants to taken seriously.

What other city the size of Brighton and Hove doesn't have a sporting venue to be proud of? Can the city council really turn down the opportunity of a 1,000 jobs in an area where jobs are needed now?
