The OAE is one of the world's pre-eminent specialists in period instruments.
It works regularly with conductors who specialise both in early music and in the modern repertoire.
The concert, directed by the American scholar and pianist Robert Levin, pairs works by two of the greatest composers of the early 18th Century, Beethoven and Mendelssohn.
Two perfect examples of the young Mendelssohn's exuberance, his Piano Concerto In G Minor and String Symphony Number Nine In C, are framed by Beethoven's overture to Creatures Of Prometheus and the monumental Piano Concerto No 4.
To win one of five pairs of tickets to see OAE, answer the following question correctly: What is the popular name for Beethoven's Sixth Symphony?
Send your answer and phone number to: Jakki Phillips, Argus House, Crowhurst Road, Brighton BN1 8AR by Tuesday.
