I was glad to hear Superintendent Peter Coll of Brighton police say he respects people's rights to protest and to demonstrate for their rights peacefully, without breaking the law.
But what about some of the police on duty at demos who also get out of hand, get steamed up and over the top, then lash out at anyone who gets in their way?
Surely they are breaking the law as well.
