Parts of Hastings were brought to a standstill as actors were filmed for the ITV detective drama Foyle's War.
Set in the Second World War, the film caused disruption to motorists in several tourist streets.
The publicity is welcome but if there is much more traffic chaos, this drama will be in danger of setting off the second battle of Hastings.
