The dismissal of the idea of trams for Brighton and Hove by our council gave me a realisation.
We are being led by a massive inferiority complex and not by confidence.
It takes confidence and original leadership to go for a stylish option, shamelessly purloined from the past. Our leaders just shrink away from the idea of trams because in their minds it's not 'today'.
