A coin collection amassed over three decades has been stolen from the loft of a house.
Among Frank Hauser's treasured collection were seven complete sets of three pence pieces, 20 Churchill crowns and boxes of crown coins.
The £1,000 collection was stored in the loft of Mr Hauser's house in Rowe Avenue, Peacehaven.
He moved to Lindfield, near Haywards Heath, several weeks ago but when he returned to collect his belongings the collection had vanished.
Mr Hauser said the coins had sentimental value.
Police today appealed to second-hand dealers and jewellery shops in Brighton, Eastbourne and Lewes to be on the look-out.
Anyone with information is asked to call Sussex Police on 0845 6070999, or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555111.
