HE Lobstein (Letters, March 13) expresses understandable concerns about the possible damaging effects of GM crop field trials on nearby organic farming.
The farming section of the Co-operative movement, the country's largest agricultural group, has decided not to take part in field trials.
Now the House of Commons environment, food and rural affairs select committee is carrying out an inquiry into current policies on GM organisms. This will lead to a report to Parliament.
Anyone with evidence to submit can send it to The Clerk to the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee, House of Commons, Westminster, London SW1A 0AA.
