A woman was found dead in the grounds of a block of flats in Brighton on Saturday morning.
Police found the 46-year-old's body at Hereford Court, Hereford Street, at about 6.55am.
Inspector Andy Kill said: "It would appear she had fallen from the window of a flat on one of the upper floors."
He said there appeared to be no suspicious circumstances but police are keen to speak to a nurse believed to have found the body on her way to work.
