Rail journeys west of Worthing will be interrupted this weekend because of engineering work.
It will mean bus journeys for people travelling towards Portsmouth, Southampton and Cardiff.
Wessex Trains services between Cardiff Central and Brighton will start and terminate at Barnham, with a replacement coach service running between there and Brighton.
Train companies are warning passengers wanting to make connections at Barnham that they will have to leave earlier because of the bus services.
The replacement buses are unable to carry prams, cycles and large items of luggage.
Passengers intending to travel further west than Worthing along the coast are being advised to contact National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50.
