The Ordnance Survey Interactive Atlas of Great Britain provides full coverage of the country at 1:6 000 000, 1:625 000 and 1:250 000 scales.

It offers finely-detailed and beautifully-coloured maps with excellent zoom facilities at a price that would be hard to beat.

Details include motorways, A and B roads, water features, National Parks, settlements, railways and much more.

The software has literally thousands of places of interest listed as interactive information.

The content is made up of video footage, photographs and informative text, giving the user background knowledge of an area.

The software offers videos illustrating specific attractions such as Stonehenge, Glastonbury and York, but these are of somewhat poor technical quality. The still photos are sometimes rather chocolate box and don't do full justice to the subject matter.

You can be sure of finding even the smallest village as the atlas includes a searchable 42,000-place name database and there are detailed street plans for 83 of the biggest towns and cities.

All the maps are printable at many different sizes and levels of detail. It is also possible to save maps to file if they are to be used more than once. It is also possible to customise the maps to suit your own requirements.

A very comprehensive set of information arranged in a way that is both sensible and helpful.
