Hove went down 17-0 at leaders Betteshanger, though they thought they could cause an upset having conceded just 12 points playing into a gale in the first half.

Both tries came from lineouts which were wrecked by the windy conditions.

Betteshanger scored again straight after the break and survived constant Hove pressure in the final quarter of the match.
